As a woman in this world, I’ve faced my own share of prejudice.
For example, when I worked on a site for a month as a site engineer, the men workers there preferred to take instructions from my male counterpart rather than me and it stung so much.
It was one of the many reasons I wasn’t bent on sticking with working as a site engineer.
I’ve listened and heard a lot of stories of women going through their lives feeling lesser than themselves. The women feel inferior, undervalued, unappreciated, and sometimes molested or abused by their loved ones.
In the course of my book coaching business, I’ve had strategy calls whereby my potential clients shared their deepest fears and secrets that brought tears to my eyes.
There was a particular sister who was in a narcissistic marriage and wanted to come out to be herself and not an empty shell that she had been almost all her life. However, she wasn’t able to do so because she was scared of being homeless and penniless. The fear of the unknown kept her rooted in the toxic relationship she was in.
Another shared a similar story and after our session, she felt better and relieved because I was able to create a safe space where there was no judgement whatsoever during our conversation. She said she felt she had known me for years instead of just meeting online for the first time.
The above and many other stories of survival, tenacity and determination compelled me to help and guide these women to write and share their stories in a book so that they can help others in similar situations with solutions of how they overcome their various challenges.
The work gives warmth to my heart that I’m able to use my gifts to help others which in my opinion is the best work I can and love to do! 😍
My reason for being a Book Coach is to give these beautiful and amazing God’s creations the courage and support they need to become the best versions of themselves.
Sharing their stories, expertise, experiences, talent and passions through books help them make more impact which is heartfelt and a legacy to leave for the world.
